Fall has some of the most gorgeous colors in its palette, and I love to try to incorporate them wherever I can. In addition to the rich colors, I have become a true fan of texture, and I have found some great pieces that provide both rich color and interesting texture.
I started out with these sweet little feather pumpkins. Sold in sets of four, they are perfect for use as a place marker, or as an embellishment at each dish. Colors vary on each pumpkin.
Next up were these fabulous feather balls. Originally I planned on placing the set in one of the large apothecary jars that I was featuring. As I unpacked them, I realized that they coordinated perfectly with my Thanksgiving dish pattern from Johnson Bros. One placed upon each salad plate adds a little visual interest as well as height to the place setting.
I love to have candles on the table, and the hand-poured botanical candle from Rosy Rings brings the outdoors in with their artsy designs created using real pieces foraged from the makers farm. Available in a few sizes and shapes, this too will add to the vertical interest on your dining table or mantle.
The pinecone & pear trees that I found and added to my product mix also carries through this color & texture theme. The trees come in two sizes, perfect for your table or your sideboard. These trees will also be a great addition to my mantle once Thanksgiving has passed. The rich shades of green and copper will accent my living room, and if I top them with a pretty ribbon, I can instantly change the look and bring them into the next holiday season.
