Transitions

It is a great time of year to think about transitioning your home decor into the next season. Small, simple touches can make a big impact when refreshing your home sweet home. Try adding a wreath that can be easily adapted by adding a ribbon or maybe some small decorative touches. I love this wreath from the Magnolia Company for just that reason. It features real, living magnolia leaves from their generations-old farm, mixed with light touches of evergreen material, pinecones & red berries. By adding a rich, chocolate brown ribbon, I can feature this piece in my home or on my door from now until Thanksgiving. It will then be time to bring out the red in the piece with a colorful ribbon, designed to usher in the Christmas season.

I also like to use fragrance in my home as a way of bringing the seasons to life. This month, I am burning my Simmered Cider candle from the Thymes. This candle is warmly scented with apple, cinnamon and all of the spices of the fall.
